I am going to write his symptoms in bullet points.....
- I have a 7 year old boy. He is a good kid, no behavior problems, he does have ADHD, but is able to focus when he needs to. He is extremely gifted. No surgeries, he had the flu type A and the Roda (?) Virus when he was 1.9 years old. Other then that, no major illness. He has had the normal occational stomach flu, or cold.
- When he gets a cold they last for at least a month.
-He has always had balance issues, and has had PT at school for it.
-For about the past 4 years he has periodically woken up with nose bleeds. About every other month, they usually happen early in the morning, but he did have one at school last year.
- In September, he woke up screaming from a headache. He had an MRI done by a neurologist and they found a problem with his left sinus. It was impacted, he was given antibiotic nose spray, and they infection disappeared (CT scan was done to confirm this) His symptoms stopped for a while and then slowly are coming back, he has been put back on the antibiotic nose spray, which seems to be helping somewhat. There was some talk of his sinus being deformed. But the ENT Doctor who looked at the MRI said no.
- The past three weeks, he has complained of dizziness and vertigo, coupled with extreme hunger, and exhaustion. He says he is hungry for a cheeseburger. When these episodes happen, he is very pale with red bags under his eyes. He becomes tired around the same time almost everyday 11:30 am. He will become giddy and sometimes seem spacey. He had a blood test done his medibolic test was normal, he doesn't have mono or Lyme Disease. The blood for the animia test was clotted so this test was not completed.
-Yesterday he woke up and couldn't open his left eyes. There was no congestion, no eye gook. His eyes seemed swollen. (I have not yet told this to his PE, we will see her on Monday)
- He has always had an unusual amount of earwax. This earwax is sometimes very dark in color. (This fact is dismissed by his doctors)
Are his Doctors missing something? Is there the possibility that something else is at play? Is there a name for this?
