Throat/esophagus area?

For the last few weeks I've been randomly getting this strange pressure at the bottom of my throat/esophagus, and radiates down into my stomach area. It appears randomly, and usually eating something makes it go away for a while. At this point its also making it a bit difficult to go to sleep simply cause the pressure is so uncomfortable. I've never had this issue before and I'm not sure what it is or if I should be concerned?
