Two Doctors haven't been able to diagnose throat condition

Three weeks ago I went to see my primary care physician because of lumps on the exterior of my throat. She did a thyroid blood test because of a family history of hypothyroidism. The test came back negative, she said that's what I was feeling was my tonsils and not my thyroid. She did not check down my throat. One week ago I went to see and urgent care physician who  did a strep test and a mononucleosis test both which came back negative. He said what I was experiencing was most likely coxsackievirus and that I had an ulcer on my tonsil as well as swollen lymph nodes. A week later I still have the ulcer on the one tonsil and I have developed a white lump behind the other tonsil.  I do not think that this is a symptom of coxsackievirus as I do not have any lesions on my hands or feet or around my mouth. Can anyone advise?
