What is the best medicine to use ?

I have allergies and just figured out that I have postnasal drip, ear drainage issues, and stomach issues due to the mucus.. I wonder will Singular work with this ? The last time I tried taking antihistamines I felt drugged. I have been enjoying the better relief with a nasal steroid I have been using twice a day, is this safe for long term use?
Thank you for your time !!!

I will, and I have asked pharmacist to make sure these things are fine together. I was never one that wanted to use these things, but I am finding such benefits that it is just so nice to breath a deep breath and not a short one like I was doing...it's an odd feeling breathing so much better.

Well....you can try that too; using the Asmanex or Aerobic with the Nasonex if you find that is working.  Please do INFORM your physician what you are doing so that he/she is aware.

Thanks, I am using an old steroid inhaler Aerobic( i like best), but have the newer type too, Asmanex.
I might just use these instead of the Singular. No, I tried the Symbicort and could not tolerate it well. I have tried other long term meds but really feel best just using the steriods.

Well....continue the Nasonex spray.  What steroid inhaler is working well for you?  You stated you had problems with Symbicort and I am assuming you are no longer using that.  Correct?

You should try the Singulair because this can be more effective for controlling the Allergic Rhinitis and the Asthma.  The physician can CLOSELY monitor your liver with labs while you are taking the medication.  Liver issues CAN develop on this drug; remember this is NOT a given meaning this doesn't mean this WILL happen.

Stick with the nasal spray. If you can't afford the nasonex you could try using claritin nose spray.

I find that using a sinus rinse helps tremendously as well.

I have tried all of the antihistamines around, none with a decongestant. Benadryl will put me to sleep and make me feel tired the next day, so I try not to use that unless it is a must. Alergia made me dry up too much but then it started making me feel odd, so I waited a few days and tried Zertic, that was the same reaction, so I again waited a few days and went back with Cleartin, same reaction. My PC doctor did give me the Singulair since I do have Asthma. He had me try Symbicort but that stuff really made me dry, and so nasty tasting. I can however use just a steroid inhaler along with the Nasonex nose spray, it seemed to work very well for me. Should I try staying with this or try Singular. I thought I read up on Singular as causing liver issues. What do you think would be the safest way to go? Or the best? I love breathing better !!

What antihistamines have you used?  It wasn't an antihistamine with a decongestant or Benadryl was it?

Singulair can be used for Allergic Rhinitis like you have, however, this is usually prescribed for someone with Asthma issues secondary to Allergic Rhinitis.

What nasal steroid are you using?  Most of them can be used long term.
