blood from throat

I am a 19 year old girl. I have been seeing small amount of blood in my spit from past 10 days. This is not happening daily. It happens only once in 2 or 3 days. Before seeing blood in my spit i could the taste blood in my throat. Few days before i started seeing blood in my spit i have got my voice very much strained(because of singing). Sometimes i feel very mild pain in my throat(this symptom also started recently say one month). Other than this i do not see any other kind of problem. I am very worried about this. Is this very serious? What could be the reason for this?

Sounds like Laryngitis.  I do not know how much you are singing or how often, but you might be irritating your vocal cords which stretch across your larynx.

Secondly, since it has been 10 days since all this started, I would recommend seeing your PCP/Family Physician and have your throat assessed.
