coughing all day and night

Hello,
I have a cough for 1 year to date and can't get any relief. I've seen 4 different doctors other than my Oncologist and no one can help me. I was diagnosed and treated for colon cancer in Sept 2010 and cleared in July 2011 after treatment. I developed this cough in Nov 2011 and still have it today. I've seen a Lung Dr., Gastroologist (which found that I also suffer from Acute gastritis), Family Dr., Oncologist and my allergy Dr.  all to no avail. I've had two chest x rays and nothing was found. I've have a PET scan and nothing was found so now I don't know what to do. My cough is productive. My ears itch, my eyes run water and I must blow my nose after ever coughing spell. Sometime I have to pull over to the side of the road if I'm driving. It's really bad. Please help me. I'm starting a new corporate job in a week and I don't want to be coughing in the office all day.. Thanks

It may also be environmental allergies I have this on and off for 9 months now ...ask for a heavy metals Toxicity test

Your cough sounds very similar to mine. I get the symptoms with my eyes, ears and nose too. I've had my cough now for around two months. I was diagnosed with bronchitis. You could have it too... You'd need antibiotics to treat it. But if not then it could be some kind of allergy that hasn't been found yet. Maybe you have a dust allergy. Or, if your house has damp patches, it could be a mould allergy.

It could be GERD.  Maybe you have a hiatal hernia.  You may need this issue fixed to get rid of the cough.  

Another possibility is that stopping dairy will help.

yup me too.....well I know mine is environmental allergies ..I recently had some relief when my cough got worse and i finally went to the Doctor who prescribed anti biotic 5 day course ...a cough med with codeine in it and anti histimies ....loath to take the ;stuff' I did and hey I am somewhat better ..
