ear problem please help

I have been having a problem with my left ear for the past few months. It is always more red than my right ear. Its like its always irritated. It gets even worse if I go out in the sun or if i rub it or scratch it, it will get beet red (almost purple). Also, when its beet red it feels swollen and tight and there is slight pain. When this happens, it will last for hours. My family doctor says that the inside looks fine and there are no signs of infection.

Things I've noticed: My left ear seems to have an oily film on it. I see skin wanting to peel off my ear like it would be sunburned. There are some tiny bumps behind my ear that sort of feel like small pimples.

Any idea what this is? Please help me!
