can atropine sulfate cause dilation of the pupil

According to what I've read  yes it can. More info can be found here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Atropine#Ophthalmic_use

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Atropine if used as eye drops does cause dilatation of the pupil, and it is used to study the inner eye for fundoscopy.
