An ear examination is absolutely necessary for correct diagnosis and treatment. A boil, an accumulation of wax, middle ear infection, any foreign object stuck in the ear, otitis externa, trauma to the ear canal all can cause ear pain. It can also be referred pain from head and neck areas or dental disorders if you have any. Based on the history of the pain and examination of the ear, a doctor will diagnose the cause of the pain. Seek prompt medical advice and treatment. Keep me posted.
Best luck and regards!
