no voice for 6 months

ive had tonsilitis 6 times in 6 months. the 1st time i had it i got swine flu aswel however i havent had a voice at all for the last 6 months. i was meant to have my tonsils out a month ago but i got their and the doctor said he would rather see me in clinic...im getting really worried though i have a constant sore throat i keep getting tonsilitis and i have no voice at all... what should i do?

Yeah they said that all that was there was inflamation I saw the doctor again today they said that I just need to rest it and wait to see the speech therapist and that's all they said.  Not sure what else I can do. Thankyou again for tryin to help

Do they agree with you that your tonsils are inflamed/swollen?

I already had my voice box examined and they said that it looked completely normal, im in alot of pain though and feel as though my throat is swelling up..my tonsils have never gone down from the 1st time i had tonsilitis...ive been back to the doctors so many times but they cant help me... thankyou for trying to help me though...

With such a history it becomes rather important that you do see the ENT doctor and have your throat/voice box examined.  In all likelihood you can be helped, but it's not something that can be done here (sorry)...
