my biopsy results are normal. i was on a soft diet for a week for throat pain and i am on a regular diet again. the throat pain is gone. the ent stated that pet scans are very sensitive and can pick up a sore throat. they found nothing but did check it out which i am glad they did. thank you

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Passing the scope can cause some irritation in the throat and this usually resolves in a few hours. Laryngoscopy is a safe procedure and usually patients tolerate the procedure well. A biopsy is conclusive for any lesion. As you will be on general anesthesia, ensure to see someone is with you to drive you back home. Good luck with your procedure.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
