MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi, the vast majority of cases of sudden hearing loss are unilateral, and the prognosis for some recovery of hearing is good. The cause is postulated to be viral, vascular or immune mediated. As you are prone for immune mediated disorders, this could be a likely cause. The treatment regimens for ISSHL are varied, and this depends on the cause. Hope you get well soon. Regards.
