swollen neck/glands

A few days ago i had formed some bumps on the left side of my jaw line and figured/and still figure that they were ingrown hairs.  My gland that is under my jaw on the left side became swollen and sore at the same time. Over the past few days though i have developed about four or five more of these bumps on my chin and my left jaw line and my two glands under my chin are swollen and sore too. Also when i lean my neck back the front of my neck if really sore when it is stretched. All of the bumps that i have formed are just contsantly oozing out oil(so thats why i think those are just ingrown hairs). But now its not just the bumps that are swollen my whole neck under my jaw line is swollen under my chin and on my left side. I was just wondering if anybody could shed any light on what it could be or what i could do to treat this. I almost never get ingrown hairs and definitely never this many all at once and with thse symptoms of swelling of glands and all over.

Hi! My name is Pahola. I have the same thing of what you went through an I know is pain fall. Well for me I am taking antibiotics to cure the bumps that I have on my jaw line an to cure the swollen glands I have to. My doctored told me I have an infection she did not say what kind of infection but she has me on treatment to cure what I have. I hope I get better because I feel like I have fever an I feel like I can not eat anything. The only things I can it are ice cream, soups or easy food I can swallow.

i agree with OtoHNS_MD since they're so swollen that oil is leaking out of your pores.  That's pretty swollen.  It's not just from a cold since it's only on one side.  i'd see a physician / doctor right away.

Lymph nodes typically swell in response to infection.  You should see an MD.  You may need antibiotics.
