I have anxiety and this happens to me more than not... It's very possible that this could be the cause. Are you still seeing your doctor? If so, keep talking to him/her to try to get this problem fixed.

I have these exact same symptoms. It gets worse when i drive. You need to go see a chiropractor and maybe even get some reading glasses for school. Everything is always connected

It might be because you have an anxiety disorder, that is what i had when i've seen people die in chicago... Or maybe, you got jumped... Well other things are  maybe a brain or nerve problem but i dont think it's that, since you went to your doctor... Another case is that you have stress in your family or in school or just constant pressure and stress in your brain, that your brain dosen't find any place to relax or sleep, so you also feel sleepy at day time... How to cure that? Well i would recommend to going on a holiday... Even if you aren't an adult, you can ask your parents if you and your grandparents can go in another country and relax there. Just have a break of your daily life-routine, it will really help and after you come back you should look out for the problem and try to cure it. If you need more help: ***@****

Are you still experiencing this... I have the same thing wondering if you found a answer I've had cut scans and blood work and cats scans of all organs and ultr sounds everything was normal ents I've seen all day bppv but then I went to a chiro and has X-rays done and my c1-c3 are all badly out of whack and I've lost the curve in my neck and the curve of my spine. If I move my head a little to reposition my neck the dizziness usually goes away ...

I have vestibular dizzy (BPPV). I am 31 years old. I have been going to a physiotherapist and doing the exercises according his treatment. I do not have any dizziness now while walking or lying down but the only problem is when I close my eyes, it's like something running in my head. I wish I could explain the problem better. I have been waiting ENT appointment. Thanks all

Hi, just saw your post now, when looking on internet about my dizziness causes, im romanian to and living in Uk, had a sore ear and got a treatment for it, but when i mentioned my dizziness i've been told that i'll get better after ending the treatment. Finished my treatment from almost one month and im the same: im lying down on my bed and when trying to move my head i feel dizzy and my stomach feels funny, sometimes happens even when i stand and if i move my eye quick to other direction feels like im going to lose control of my body. If you gad something similar, please let me know and also it will be nice to hear and communicate in our language as it will make it easier for me to find out exactly your symptoms and compare them with mine. Thanks

Olivia, I have experienced your EXACT description for about 4 years now. Ive learned how to control it for the most part but sometimes I can't and I have to just sit up with my eyes open. When I would get my eyebrows done or makeup done, I'd have to close my eyes and inside it would start spinning like no other and I'd have to leave the appointment because I just couldn't shut my eyes anymore. I never got tested, but I have always had anxiety problems and it is so mysterious but I think it might be related to that. When I started taking anxiety medicine 3 years ago, I experienced the spinning much less often when I shut my eyes.

Olivia - It's been a while since you have posted.  Have you overcome your dizziness while closing your eyes or have you found the cause?  I would love to know because I am suffering with something very similar right now.

Thank you!

Do not alarm,i had this problem to. Every single time when closed my eyes, the room start to spin and a wierd feeling in my stomach like i was terible drunk,or in a rollercoster. You need a combination of vitamine b shots. If you try to take oraly, trust me,it's not gonna work. B1,b6,b12(i dont remember the quantity of vials) all in a syringe and 2 a day. In the morning and in the evening. I`m from romania and i don't know exactly how are the B Vitamines in US but here are in vials of: B1 100ml,b6 250ml,and b12 250ml. I think this was the combo of the shots i did the doctor for 5 days. The shots are not to bad(hurts only slightly),and after first 2 shots intramuscular,i never had dizzines. I did the shots 5 years ago. All of you who has problems with dizzines with eyes closed or other kinds of vertigo, dizzines, balance problems and never find the treatment, trust me,This is the treatment. B1,B6 and B12 all in 1 syringe twice a day. These injections you can do up 2 weeks but the b6 must be lower(100ml) if you do for 2 weeks. In romania this is a revolutions in treatment of dizzines and vertigo. I must say i  can not believe how many cases of vertigo and dizzines could not be solved in a country with such a great medicale centers. I hope that i was helpful. Sorry for my english. If you have questions, ask. I wish you a speedy recovery.

Hi,

As I had mentioned in my previous posts coordination of eyes, tactile organs and the semicircular canals in the ear are all responsible for the complete balance of the human body. On some occasions there is mismatch in coordination and the brain receives wrong information hence causing  this imbalance. There can also be a component of this cervical vertigo involved, but can not blame it completely. Well, try the rehabilitation exercises which I mentioned earlier you can benefit from it.

I went to the ENT  to get a hearing test and they said it was completely fine. so I am good there. Last night I had no dizziness or anything....I don't think it could be an inner ear problem or the ent would have told me. thanks for ur help...I am sure ill be back on these sites again haha

Hi,

Truly, BPPV does occur with the eyes open/closed it is more concerned with the otoconia in the lateral semicircular canals and the change in position of the head. Take a second opinion if possible also get an MRI done to look for any other lesions in the brain.

Hi,

Definitely anxiety plays a major role in causing dizziness but, before accusing anxiety to be the culprit, I would rather try to evaluate and rule out all the other possible causes of dizziness.

Fatiguability is the clinching feature of BPPV, more you try to induce dizziness in one particular position it disappears after few minutes.

Any how only with proper investigations the probable cause can be found out. Dizziness is such a thing even the best of the doctors some time fail to identify the exact cause.

All The Best
