thanks naseer for your quick reply. i went back to my doc and discussed more about my condition. he explained with a cut out section ear model that the infection is in the external ear and is a bone infection! he said he could see some granules developed inside. i was prescribed ciplox TZ H for 10 days (initially by a different doc). that didnt help.so i went to this doc who has prescribed me Doxycycline Hyclate for 20 days. i started this doxycycline hyclate drug on june 19. and there is improvement 1st day itself. there was relatively lesser discharge today. also, i didnt feel any block in my ear whole day which i used to feel before.

hi dilip this is naseer 2009 ,ur problem could be due to a chronic ear infection resulting in perforation of ur ear drum or tympanic membrane resulting in purulent ear discharge ,this could be due to chronic sinusitis or ETB ,u have got to go through a course of anti biotics, anti histaminics ,mucolytics and topical ear drops after cleaning ur ears, for aa period of 7 days and prevent water form entering ur ear, avoid blowing ur nose hard.pls tell me ur results.
