Sinus headache or something else?

I have had a headache for over 2 and half weeks off and on and for 3 days persistantly. I have went to the E.R. and they did two CTs, one without contrast and one with of my head and sinuses, they were normal. The problem is I still have a headache with a lot of pressure in my forehead and in between my eyes. This gets worse when I lay down or bend over forward. I have a history of sinus problems and head aches but never lasting this long and usually motrin gets rid of it. I do have a little congestion but without signs of infection and do have occasional sneezing. My question is if the CT was negative for tumors and sinusitis, what else could be causing these symptoms? could it still be sinus related even though there is no sinusitis? Please help I will be seeing my family doctor in a couple of days but I do not know what else they can do, any Ideas please tell me. Thanks

Migranes are very common, Midrin is very good for migranes. Do you have frequent constipation? Constipation can cause migranes also. Magnesium also helps and if you take at night you will sleep very well. Sinus, Caffiene, Chocolate some other foods can be a leading cause for Migranes.

It is definitely possible to have inflammation within the nasal cavity leading to pressure build up in the sinuses without having fluid or frank infection.  This could be caused by anything from allergies to viruses.  Also possible are an array of various headache syndromes that could be related (migraine, cluster, tension, neuralgia).  I agree that you should be evaluated by your physician.  Best wishes.
