ruptured ear drums

I have had 2 ruptured eardrums in the past 2 years.  They come on without any warning.  I have had dozens of earaches since I was a child-----Now I no longer get ear aches really--- they have taken a turn--they simply go into a rupture without any warning.  I am 50 years old .  I had impacted wisdom teeth in my early twenties---they were removed----could some of the fluid still be in my jaw bone---I have very tight jaws that are getting worse all the time.  The ENT recommwnd sinus surgery because my sinus's are bad-----I would not want a surgery like that plus I believe there is a different problem- any information would sure help.  I live in Milwaukee WI------------------414-226-0202.
                                   Sincerely,

I have had ear conjestion & earaches all my life - to the point of burst eardrums several times.  I have tried many meds over the years.

Got to the point that I didn't always realize that the conjestion is getting worse until I found myself turning up the TV louder and louder.  No pain or other signs.  Then a burst eardrum!

I recently found that daily nasonex really makes a difference, but when the conjestion gets worse, I take mucinex for a few days.  Seems to help! Haven't had any more bursts for a long while.   Hopes this helps you!

Hi Jewels, you may want to get a second opinion as to why your sinuses and ears have taken a turn for the worse.  You may need other testing to see if any other problems are occurring.

Hope this helps.  Good luck!
