Can you have  Ramsay Hunt syndrome without the facial weakness? Just the sores, dryness in mouth, dizzines, weakness in legs, back pain?

I have all of  the symtoms but not numbness in face nor pain in ear. once in awhile I get a stabing pain but it doesn't last long. I also have thumping in my left ear (occasionally) the itching and crackling sounds are the worst. I don't know if this is a symptom or not but I have been having pains in my head and nausea. i have been using Tea Tree drops and that has helped the itching a lot.

RHS is caused by reactivation of the zoster virus.  Depending on which nerves it attaches to will determine the symptoms.  The virus most commonly attacks cranial nerve 7 (facial nerve) and 8 (balance and equilirium).  It can affect CN6 (eye sight double vision) as well as others.  If you have "blisters" in or around your ear and /or mouth, your face feels like you have had novacain and have alot of pain deep inside your ear, you probably have RHS and need to get on anti-virals of the proper strength and probably a Medrol dose pack too.  The ideal "window" for best outcome is to get on the meds within 72 hours of onset of symptoms.
I am not a Doctor, just someone who has been dealing with RHS for 20 months.
