40 year ear drainage issue

I had a mastoidectomy (spelling) 41 years ago. After that my ear has had drainage every day. ENT wants to give me drops and come back in 2 weeks. I’ve spent a small fortune and no answer over my adult years. If I do t put tissue or something in my ear during the night it drains out on the pillow or bed and it won’t wash out.

I’d really like to fix this once and for all. Thank you

Oh my gosh, are you saying that you have had ear drainage for 41 years?  That's incredible!!  And they can't get a handle on why?  What are the ear drops for at this point?  What are they saying the cause is?  I'm not familiar with this as a long term consequence of that procedure! Are your eustachian tubes intact?  They aren't blocked?
