BREATHLESSNESS DUE TO BROCHITIS

For last 4 days i am having breathlessness.GP told its bronchitis and there is little swelling.

Also diagnosed with NGU.Prescribed OFLOXACIN 400MG twice a day with vizylic (good bacteria capsule).

But after 3 days of medication there is not sign of improvement in bronchitis.

Also recently recovered from hepatitis e.Just before starting this medication bilerubin was 1.92 while it should be between .2-1 .

While taking ofloxacin worsen the liver condition.

What can i do for easing breathlessness due to bronchitis ?

Any home remedy?

Please help!!

Well, then, you shouldn't be worry about any COPD.  Not sure why you were thinking that in the first place.

Just continue to take the antibiotic and go from there and don't be worry about whether the NGU will be resistant.  You are on the CORRECT antibiotic for the NGU.

I had no history what so ever of respiratory issues.

I hope my NGU gets over with OFLOXACIN and won't be resistant to it.

COPD?  Not sure why you are thinking this.  Do you have a history of respiratory issues?

Try the Guaifenesin and see what happens.  I wouldn't worry about COPD UNLESS you have had a history with alot of respiratory issues.

Just got back from visiting physician .

Prescribed a  Guaifenesin expectorant thrice a day.

I hesitantly and anxiously asked him about whether it might be COPD.He clearly denied it.

I hope he is right and the expectorant he gave give some relief.

Only 2 days of OFLOXACIN left.

Thank you for your support.

Thank you for such lovely words; very kind of you.

You may or may not return to normal, but it is important to try to keep your strength up and stay optimistic through all of this.

Reconsult the physician and keep me posted.

All the best.

The "choking feeling" in the throat can be related to various conditions and GERD IS one of them.  I would inform the physician about this as well.

Had a chest x ray done while admitted for hepatitis .Report was normal.

I will be consulting physician tomorrow again for it.

Lets hope doctor give me some relief tomorrow.

As of now i have choking feeling in throat.Feels like as if someone has tied a rope around my neck and trying to choke me.

Can long term sore be due to GERD  also?

Thank you once again.

Yes, I understood what you said the first time about the BRONCHITIS causing the breathlessness.  I am well aware what Bronchitis is.

Any chest x-ray done of your lungs?

Yes, the antibiotic is APPROPRIATE for both Bronchitis and NGU, however, you need something more for the Bronchitis; something to open the airway more, i.e. AN INHALER with a STEROID.

Reconsult the physician AS SOON AS POSSIBLE and let him know that you are still having the "breathlessness."

Physician diagnosed  a little swelling in bronchitis which he said is the cause of breathlessness.

Physician only prescribed a antibiotic said it will cure both brochitis and NGU.

Thank you for your time and advice

There is NO home remedy that I know of.  The physician didn't prescribe an inhaler as well?
