Blister/Bubble inside nostril

Hi, i don't have a doctor here in town and i don't qualify for our low income facility and I'm a bit worried about my nose since i don't have the money to get it checked out at the emergency room. There is a large (a little larger than the eraser on a pencil) blister or bubble about half a centimeter inside my left nostril. It isn't very painful unless i put a lot of pressure on it and the outside of my face isn't red or swollen. There is also yellow/brown discharge coming from it (mostly during the mornings) and it dries into a crust on the inside of my nose.It also bleeds quite often and forms scabs around the outside of the blister (almost like a shell around it), i usually loosen the scabs in the shower and they come off fairly easy and it makes it a little easier to breath but they reform each day. It has been there for about 2 months and it is slowly getting larger and larger. What i mainly want to know is if this is a serious problem that will cause much more serious conditions if left unchecked. Thank you for your precious time, any help at all would be greatly appreciated. PS. I have tried using bacitracin and peroxide to see if they would decrease the blister at all but they didn't work. Sorry if picture is blurry.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

It could be a nasal polyp. When the crusts are removed do you see a ‘weepy’ surface, then the cause is most probably infection. Practice good ‘nasal hygiene’, i.e avoid using finger tips to remove the crusts, as they harbor infection causing bacteria. The symptoms described could also be due to blowing too much or if the air is too dry. Try using an OTC saline spray. Avoid blowing your nose too hard till the sores heal and use a soft Kleenex. If you don’t already have one get a humidifier for your bedroom.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

This is likely a staph infection, which is very serious and can spread to your brain and also infect other people.

You should go to a health clinic or urgent care and have it checked out.  Oral antibiotics are probably needed.
