Tonsillectomy
Im really scared to be put to sleep and all. Im young and have kids. I dont want to die or have more complication from a minor surgery just so i sont get strep anymore.......support would be greatly appreciated!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I just had a tonsillectomy on January 2nd. I guess im pretty used to getting put to sleep because ive had so many surgeries so i wasnt really worried about it but you shouldnt worry about it either. The whole procedure took me about 30-40 minutes but it varies with each person. I had chronic strep throat as well and im really glad i got this procedure done. You'll be fine, it'll take a week and a half or so to start feeling better but you'll be on plenty of meds for that. Anyways good luck, you have nothing to worry about.
