ear pain

I have a pain in my right ear, it seems to be deep down in my ear. The right side of the upper part of my head just in 1 spot is very sore, even to the touch. I went to a family doctor & he could not find anything wrong with my ear. No infection or nothing. I told him about the top part of my head & he just kind of brushed it off. Told me to just take tylenel for the pain. I have never had my ear hurt before & my head being so sore. Please tell me can your head get sore from your ear & what do you think might be going on. I have no other syptoms & if the ear & head would stop I would be great. Should I go to a different doctor or wait & see how long this last, It has been hurting for about 4 days with no change. Tylenol seems to help for about a couple hours, then the pain is right back again. Please advise on what yu think I should do. All your thoughts will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Hugablemom

What you are describing does not sound AT ALL like Meniere's disease. The symptoms of Meniere's disease are attacks of hearing loss, ringing in the ears,  feeling of fullness in the ear, and spinning vertigo (dizziness).

I don't know what's wrong with your ear, but if your symptoms don't get better, call your doctor back and have him take a further look at what might be happening. If you run a fever or start to have other symptoms, I would call the same day. Good luck. Note that I'm not a medical professional.
