Eustachian tube dysfunction - what are the symptoms?

Is it dizziness? I usually almost always feel like i'm on a boat... it's not a dizziness, but rather balance type just like i'm on a boat... my head always feels like it is full type feels weird... ears plugged usually too... my head almost feels like it is full of mud or something not unable to concentrate or anything but just feels awkward...
Thank you. Best Regards, Megan.

My latest bout of vertigo has been going now for 18 days and was the result of a cold producing an ear infection. After an anti-biotic the worst symptoms diminished.

Go to EarPopper.com. That device, which requires a prescription, seems to be the answer for a clogged Eustachian tube. I have ordered it from Drugstore.com and am waiting on my PCP to fax the prescription. Rite Aid, Walgreens or CVS did not know what it was nor did my PCP. The testimonials are 100% positive and the website has a video which describes how the device works.

I don't know if it is the answer but it's going to get a trial from me.

I have found a way to unclog blocked Eustachian tubes!  After watching a YouTube video that was a segment from the T.V. show "Doctors", in which they demonstrated a hand-held device called "EarDoc" that send sonic waves to the inner ear and reduces swelling in the tubes and allow them to drain, I took my sonic toothbrush and held the back side of the toothbrush head against the area just behind my ear and turned it on for two minutes.  Then I held it against the soft area just in front of the ear opening and again turned it on for two minutes.  Within a day, both of the ears started to drain the fluid down the back of my throat.  Yay!!  Avoid expensive ENT visits and much frustration, just try it.  You can buy the EarDoc device for $55....or use your sonic (has to be sonic) toothbrush.

I had ETD starting a couple months ago, after a bad sinus infection.  It got better after a month or two.  What I found helps is popping the ear (put your finger in your "good" ear) once every hour or two but dont over-do it.  I also took nasal steroids.  I'm pretty sure though that it just clears up on its own.  I also took vitamins and generally tried to eat better and bump up my immune system.  I really advise anyone reading this to try not to get too "caught up" in your condition.  I did, and it lead to a terrible period of unhelpful anxiety (during which the ETD actually cleared up:>)  I suggest you try not to ruminate over every little thing, try not to consult Dr. Google etc.   Try to relax and be patient/accepting with it and tell yourself that "worst things can happen" and anyway it will clear up eventually.  Otherwise you may trigger unnecessary mental stress and anxiety (if you are a worry-wort like me and/or someone who keeps trying to find answers on the Internet LOL).  Remember that most people who have this do not even post on forums, and many of those who do and then recovery are feeling too good and cant be bothered to post about how everything is OK in the end.  ENT for me was at first very frustrating but it was true that the improvements are very slooooow and almost impossible to notice, but they do improve.

I have those same symptoms.  I too am being treated for acid reflux and tend to rest my head on the palm of my hand while driving.  It steadies my head as not to create too much dizziness.  I was diagnosed with bilaterial labryinthitis hyperfunction about 2 months ago.  I have tenitis and pressure in my left ear as well as hearing loss.  I know that anxity is a big probem because you know that your healthy but and all the test come back normal. You keep thinking...that somethig has got to be causing these probles and what is it??
My CT  and MRI's as well as a neurological exam came back normal.  Well something doesn't feel normal!!  I hate paying all the money for doctor apppointments and not being able to releave the dizziness and head pressures.  Just hoping something can be done to help.
I keep myself busy with fun activites and majority of the time you won't notice the dizziness.  God bless and be safe.

Sure sounds like BPPV (Benign Paroxymal Positional Vertigo) or Ear Rocks, crystals of calcium carbonate break free after a head injury (Called otoconia I think), it's these that cause all the problems, has your Doctor tried the epley Manouvere? it works within seconds in 80% of all cases?
