Have had an EGD with dilation twice but stricture returns within 3-4 days.

Could overuse of Imodium for years cause an esophageal stricture in the back of your throat?

Why were you taking  so much imodium?
If you have severe diarrhea have you been tested for GERD? IBS? Crohn's?
Hiatal hernia?
Did you ingest lye?

These are common reasons for esophageal strictures...but as Londres70 has stated...no...the imodium itself would not have caused it.
