I was playing basketball one day I jumped up and got pushed came straight down on the back of my head. I was knocked out, I woke up to not a severe head ache but a mild head ache, my balance was pretty much messed up I could barely walk at all without falling over. Also I was vomitting throughout the night, mostly when I would only try to walk, I also noticed that I could not hear out of my right ear. I waited till the next to goto ER they care flighted me to another hospital. They told me that my skull was fractured, then they came back and said it wasnt fractured.. so I really dont know about that, but then they said I had a little blood on my brain, and that my right ear was full of blood. I got released a few days later. I followed up with a hearing doctor and he gave me steroids cause he said my ear was swollen. I am 6 months after my injury and my right ear is nothing but ringing and popping, the popping seems to change from time to time, like deep pops, loud pops, sorta wet sounding pops, dry pops, just all sorts of different popping. I also experience like crackling, and at night and other times I get like a heart beat pulsing in my ear and recently just started to experience aching and pain from time to time. My balance is back to normal and everything seems fine. But my hearing and my ear is just really messed up, it feels like their is alot of pressure built up in the ear and like its trying to push something out but nothing does. Also sometimes I feel like theirs a wetness coming out of my ear but nothing is coming out.
Just please if u can help me out at all I would really appreciate it I was suppose to ship a few months ago to Parris Island for the Marine Corp. and just learned that a few weeks ago im getting medically discharged for my hearing..
do you think their will be a return of hearing? Also When I went for my follow up with the doctor they gave me a pressure test and they said 60 and up is considered deaf and they said I scored a 100! and this was back in november, in Feb I went for my Medical Counsol with the military and they said I had about like 10% hearing in my ear and they gave me the pressure test to..
