How can I get my earring back out of my ear?

Hello everyone! I got my ears pierced January last year and up until now I've had no problems. Four nights ago I noticed a bad smell, smelling like feces coming from the area behind my ear. I told my mother about it. Tonight we tried to remove the earring as it is clearly infected. We got the first one on my left ear out without any trouble. But the earring on my right ear is scaring me. We can't get it out. We've tried pulling it out with fingernails, tweasers and even plyers but with no use. It's sunken into my ear. It's all red, sore and swollen. We've put cream on it and are booking a doctors apointment. Is there anything I can do to stop the swelling and get it out? I've given myself a panic attack over it which is always fun. I'm worried that it won't come out.
