Hi,
Even I had problems of sour, sticky saliva and dry mouth. My saliva would be so sour at times that my lips would start to have irritation and burning sensation. As my saliva would be sticky and dry, I would also find difficult to pronounce words.
But finally, I had found a natural treatment which has given awesome results.
Hoping it would help you too !!!
Do some serious browsing on the concept of ph balance of fluids in our body. There are number of articles in net about Acidic/Alkaline balance of fluids in our body.
Fluids of the body should have a ph of 7.4 to be healthy. Urine and Saliva ph should be atleastt around 7 . When I had very sticky and burning saliva I had an urine test and found my Ph to be 5, meaning, my body fluids were dangerously acidic. So I browsed and understood that I had to have more of alkaline foods to decrease my acidic levels.
So, I tried these natural foods which contains lot of alkaline:
Dried figs, dried dates, cucumber, guava fruit. And more importantly using sodium bicarbonate in food recipes.
Foods to be FULLY AVOIDED: [This is very very important because these are highly acidic]
Coffee, Tea, SUGAR, tomato, lemons, grapes, oranges and any other citrus fruits, Spicy foods, processed foods, soft drinks, Onion etc... [lot of websites claim that citrus fruits are acidic but alkalize after digestion. But I avoided citrus fruits also].
Within 3 days of following this diet, I found a miraculous improvement in my saliva quality. I have not yet tested my urine or saliva for the ph levels but the feel of saliva itself is so pleasant indicating the reduction of acidic levels. I have also ordered for a urine/saliva ph test strips online.
I have suffered burning saliva for years and browsed a lot thro net for a solution, but in vain. Finally it was GOD's willing, acidic/alkaline ph balance concepts caught my eyes. My saliva quality is so good now, that I sincerely believe that the same would result to you too. Follow the diet seriously. Believe in GOD.
Hello all of you salivary bubbles sufferers! Mine started years ago after a front crown was put in after the tooth died after an injury. After 10 years when the 1st crown needed to be replaced, the percolating bubbles started. Several crowns and many specialist appts later, I still had bubbling. Nothing was found to be wrong with the tooth, bone, gums, etc. Fast forward to the present. I finally found a dentist who would pull the tooth and the bubbling stopped! But now the minute I put in my temporary tooth, it starts up again, and the temporary does not even go up into the gum, but it touches it. I believe my body has decided that anything in this spot is an irritant. Here is how I survive: During the day I chew gum. This keeps my tongue off of the area. At night I wear a very thin, clear plastic nightguard that I purchased online. I had to send in impressions of my teeth and they sent a custom guard. I can wear these all day. I let one get stained and I use it to eat with! I save others for seeing people! Please let me know if you meed more information on that company!
Good Luck!
Hello I am wondering if anyone ever found relief from their bubbly saliva. I am experiencing it now and can not get any answers from my providers.
I forgot another thing. The doctor at the walk-in also mentioned indigestion and/or GERD. But I don't get heartburn very often. There is something called silent GERD.
Has anybody considered candidiasis or candida overgrowth? I've had this horrible bubbly saliva for about four months and I'm pretty sure I also have now oral thrush. It seems this all started when my doctor put me on Zoloft and it caused dry mouth which in turn has caused the bubbles. I do not have a fever or headache and have always been a very healthy person. My main other problem is fatigue.
I would like to describe "my bubbles," as I call them. I have that feeling in the back of my throat like I need to clear it. You've heard the expression that you have a frog in your throat? So I try to clear the mucus and I end up with slimy clear bubbles. I most always spit this crap out because I start feeling nauseated if I swallow too much. I don't have headaches, fever or pain. I treated the supposed thrush with nystatin. Didn't work. I'll be calling my doc about this. Meanwhile the bubbles come every day, sometimes all day and it is exhausting. Also, I don't detect an odor at all. No pus or blood either. I can force these bubbles up and they make a little crackling noise. Does this sound familiar and any ideas what's going on? Oh just remembered, I went to a walk-in clinic and the doctor thought maybe strep even though I told her there was no pain or fever. She took a culture and I was negative for strep throat.
I have the saliva bubble after I did a root canel treatment in late April 2016. As first I thought the 'water' came out from my crown of my tooth. My mouth was dry and feels heaty, my lips are very dry too. My whole mouth just doesn't feel right! I went to my dentist and he thinks that the crown was faulty and suggested to change to the crown. After changing to a new crown for my tooth, the 'watery' feeling still exist. I told the doctor that the 'water' that comes out from the tooth are 'bubblish' or foamy, and it's seems to make my mouth very dry and has a burning feeling. And he tells me to drink alot of water and there's nothing wrong with my teeth...
Till now, I've been seeing alot of dentist (spent alot of money too.... ) and non of them think that my saliva bubble and dry mouth has anything to do with my teeth's 'watery' issue. Most of them think that it's all in my head, I'm just being paranoid.
I feel so helpless and really don't know what to do.... At least I know I'm not alone.
I am also suffering from constant saliva bubbles in mouth. Occasionally, I do have a BMS on roof of the mouth.
I see my email address was removed and that's OK. This site has it's rules and I understand. Hopefully, I can get back to this site from time to time and check to see how you all are doing. My best to all. Betty 3/20/16
Hello to all of you nice people who have replied to my long post on Burning Mouth Syndrome. I thought I posted my comments to the Mayo Clinic Web-Site but never found it there. So today I just googled Excessive Salina in Mouth and after clicking on many articles I came across these comments and when I started reading them, I was so surprised and I said 'THOSE ARE MY COMMENTS !!! So here goes where I left off. I did go and see a Dental Surgeon that my NEW regular Dentist highly recommended. He was way on the other side of town but I went hoping he was "THE ONE" to help me. When I got there he had his nurse take my blood pressure, he asked me a couple of questions and left the room. He came back in about 15 mins. and told me he was going to call my Primary Care Dr. and have her stop my two medications and he left the room. When I went to pay it was $75.00 and on the way home I realized this Dentist had the nurse take mu BP and he to make a phone call and it cost me $75.00. I've been outraged over that ever since. I called my new regular dentist and told his nurse what transpired and she said she would tell him. I've had all kinds of blood work done and it shows no infection. My Allergy Doctor took all kinds of Allergy tests and all came back normal. I see my PC Doctor once a month and she has no remedies for me. I suffer every waking moment with a sore, hot, very irritated tongue and the constant saliva bubbles keep percolating no matter what I do. I've found no new remedies and just don't know where else to turn. Oh, I saw on the internet at the Cleveland Clinic Web-Site that you could call the 800# and talk to a nurse - so I did. I asked her if they treat BMSyndrome and she said they have Doctors there that do that and so I asked if I could speak with one and she said Yes and it would cost me $500-600. I was agast and refused as I've already spent all my savings with all these Doctors and meds. Lets email each other - my email address is ***@****. I sincerely wish you all the best. Bettyk 3/20/16
Hi JKL33
I would really love to know how you are? You are the closest person I have come across who has the same symptoms as me. I have seen Doctors, ENT, dentists, consultants, the works and nobody can help. I have had these symptoms for years. I have recently been asked whether I would consider hypnotherapy - but I am reluctant to be honest as this suggests they think its all in my head!!! Annoying! The problem all started when I felt a lump in my throat whilst swallowing - went to ENT and they put a camera down my nose. They saw nothing wrong. Anyway a few days went by and the lump feeling disappeared but left me with these bubble feeling and dry/hot sensation in my mouth which is constant. The only relief I get is when I am eating or sleeping - so I have put on a lot of weight as eating is a distraction!!! I have been back and forward to Doctors, Dentists, consultants and it is frustrating that no one knows what I am going through. I would love to find a cure for this. I feel as if I have bad breath constantly and am conscious of it when speaking to people as I move my tongue constantly. I must admit recently also the swallowing feeling has come back slightly. What the heck is this??? Please please help I cant carry. As below re diet - I have tried cutting out foods - to no avail! Hope you reply would love to know how you are.

How are things with you now?I have had the same problem for over 2 years and it is Driving me insane. The only rest I get from this weird sensation is when I'm asleep or eating. Have been to Doctors, Dentists etc and nobody can help me. Please let me know if you have any answers!
Since early May 2015 to today 11/11/15 [ 6 mos. now] I am dealing with constant saliva bubbles that keep percolating in my mouth. My tongue gets dry, sore, hot and painful . I've seen two primary care doctors, one ENT, a Dental Surgeon,an Allergy & Asthma Dr. Not one had heard of Burning Mouth Syndrome except the Allergy & Asthma who told me what I had.I've been on many medications like NyStatin, Fluconazole, Clotrimazolele, Montelukast, Magic Mouthwash, Triamcinolone dental paste, Predisone, Gabapentin, Lidocaine, Hydrocortizone, warm water mixed with Hydrogen Peroxide and there has been no help except the Lidocaine numbs the tongue for about 20 min and the dental paste put on the tongue helps at night to get to sleep. When I am taking in food there is no issue and I can enjoy food. So thankfully, I can eat and sleep O.K., but every waking moment I am dealing with the constant saliva bubbles. I have to have sugar free lozenges, sugar free gum, and Therabreath mints, ice water, ice cubes and cold ice cream help. Then during all this the dentist found that I had an abscess under my crown. So I had to see an Endodontist to do a root canal through a crown which cost over a thousand dollars. I still have the constant saliva bubbles. Anyone, Dr. or other person, have any ideas for help with this terrible.situation? Remember it's been 6 mos. and I've done everything humanly possible to find out what is wrong. Oh, I forgot to mention, during this time my daughter took me to Upstate University Hospital Emergency Room and we were there 7 - 1/2 hours and all the Doctor's I saw that day never heard of Burning Mouth Syndrome. One other thing, the dentist thought I should see a friend of his who is a surgeon to look into my salivary gland where the bubbles are coming from. But, right now I am just about out of funds so I have to wait a little bit before I do that. I really do need help. 11/11/15
