Inner Ear, Current ENT, no help

Wife 70 yrs, good health.  Developed clogged/closed feeling within her ears.  Family Dr adv that ears were clear, but prescribed medro dose pack, no response.  Prescribed 20 mg of prednisone 3x day, partially cleared up, but shortly after prednisone stopped, returned to prior status.  Ref to ENT, exam and hearing test, adv tubes need placed into ears and sinus needed holes poked in to assist with drainage.  Dr advised next day she should notice some improvement, within days, marked improvement.  Had surgery, back for follow-up, no change.  Past 7 weeks, numerous app with ENT, no improvement, significant continued hearing loss.  During 7 weeks, tried 10 mg of prednisone and Dymista Nasal Spray, with neg help.  Last appointment, said there was nothing that can he can do, made appointment with another specialist in just ears, 2 month wait time.  We are very concerned of course with what happened and a 2-month wait.  Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Since the appointment is 2-months away that was made by the ENT that did the surgery, any suggestions?

In the last appointment, the ENT said that the Eustachian tubes were clear, tubes that were placed looked good, but that he did not know what to do to correct the loss.

MEDICAL PROFESSIONAL
Hi there,
A detailed evaluation may be necessary for appropriate diagnosis and management. The few probable causes of post operative hearing loss in a patient undergoing middle ear surgery are inner ear injury, manipulation of ossicles ,noise due to drills, continuous suction irrigation, vibrations and a few unknown reasons. Mild sensorineural hearing loss subsequent to middle ear surgery has been a known complication to middle ear surgery .It is important to seek an early appointment if possible and get treated. Hope it helps.
Best wishes and regards!
