Yeah, my idea is.... GO SEE AN ENT IMMEDIATELY!! preferably one specializing in the ear (an otologist or neuro-otologist). Don't wait for Monday, call your ear doctor's answering service at first light and explain what's happening; if you don't have an otologist already, I'd go to urgent care and make sure to get your hearing tested!! Sudden hearing loss should be considered a very urgent situation, especially since you've already lost hearing in one ear.
P.S. In saying you should see an ENT immediately about this new hearing loss, I was assuming you had an actual hearing loss in your left ear, tested by an audiologist? If you just have a FEELING of deafness without having seen a doctor, it might be just something like a blocked Eustachian tube, which is certainly not an urgent situation--but you should see your G.P. about it right away anyway and make sure about what's going on.
The hearing in my left ear is just partial, the right ear i just feel is enflamed, but its very painful and irritating. Seeing as all the local doctors around this area only deal wtih urgent calls for the elderly i can only wait until tomorrow. Thank you for your reply.
