LPR

Does anyone know the best way to treat LPR with over the counter medications. I went to an ENT and he did an endoscopy through the nose and said he only saw mild inflammation of the larynx. He did not prescribe me anything but said to continue with the Prilosec OTC. I do not have heartburn but I do have throat burning, throat clearing, cough, and a feeling of fullness in the throat. I am currently taking the Prilosec OTC 1 time a day in the morning but I read that for LPR you need to take 2 pills twice a day. Please someone tell me how  to fix this irritated throat.

Hi, I have read the information related to LPR on this forum and would like to make some recommendations if that can help to relieve some of the symptoms.

#1 - Check your uric acid level.
#2 - Drink Kefir and add George’s Aloe Vera juice
#3 - Alkalize your body with drops, tablets or alkaline stick.
#4 - There is a test called Peptest by an UK company called RDBiomed.
#5 - Use GABA supplement that helps a lot. Start slowly and increase as needed.
#6 - Use DGL Plus tablet chewable by Organika + Tayers Slippery Elm Lozenges.
#7 - Chew on Liquorice root available from the Chinese store (small pieces of wood)
#8 - Gargle with ACV and inversion with the tip of your tongue to the root and let the mucus out.
#9 - Practice the following yoga poses: plough, shoulder stand and Bellows Breath
#10 - Go for Colon Hydrotherapy to eliminate waste from the colon, it may have become impacted, putrefied and toxic. Make sure to take probiotics after the session.

I hope this help some people on this site. Keep me posted because I care.

I could only sympathize with you.  I have had all of the same symptoms since January 09 and am currently taking 2 40mg nexium pills daily along with reglan before dinner.  Both were perscribed from my gastroenterologist.  Also had severe choking episodes.  No relief yet!  My ENT doctor told me it would take something like 6 months for LPR to get better.  I control the lump feeling in my throat my reducing my stress level.  If you have bad reflux, I'm sure 1 Prilosec is certainly not enough.  It's now been almost 3 weeks since your post, curious to know how your doing.
