Hello...I've been on a terrible rollercoaster ride with regard to my health and getting a diagnosis. The last neurologist did an MRI which showed non-specific lesions as well as corpus callosum lesions. The neurologist showed me the non-specific lesions and said it's nothing. He said dizziness might be seizures or seizure-like events.
His impression from my consult was complex partial seizures with travelling paresthesias. After MRI, on my followup, he said he cannot support the diagnosis of seizures and that it was labyrinthitis. However, he wants me to keep taking Keppra which hasn't helped the dizziness, but did make my muscles feel less tight and knotted up.
I looked up labyrinthitis and it says it usually goes away in around 6 weeks. Whereas, I've had issues (not just of dizziness) for almost 20 years. So, my question is how long does labyrinthitis last for people who actually have it and do you experience any other symptoms (fatigue, numbness, tingling, etc.)?
