I woke up this morning and I don't know how I noticed it, but when I woke up I noticed a lump about the size of a marble on my left jaw. It feels like a bruise, but it I touch it enough the pains goes away. It doesn't move, and feels like it's attached to my jaw. I have no idea what's going on... I had one last year, but I think I could move it, and it went away after a few weeks.
Hello and hope you are doing well.
The 'lump' could be a sebaceous cyst, a lipoma, a thyroid nodule or lymph nodes. If it moves with swallowing it could be from the thyroid. It could also be a cystic hygroma, which is a congenital condition where in the lymphatic issue gets trapped and it progressively increases in size. If there is accompanying swelling, redness, discharge and fever it is most probably an infection. You may need to consult your primary care physician who will examine you and initiate appropriate therapy.
Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
