Hi,
nice to hear from your input......i will try the vick on the bottom of feet tonight. yes i do try on nasal rinse but this seems to relieve his stuffy nose but doesn't seems to cure...
Yes, Nasonex is a corticosteroid....steroid.
My son is two and he uses it when needed now...he had been on it for two months straight, but he had no bad reactions to it. Thankfully.
I'm glad you took him off of those pills. They seem to cause more problems than anything.
You don't need to explain to your doctor why you took him off of those pills. I'm sure most parents would, after reading about them.
Would your son be willing to try a nasal rinse? He's old enough to use them. They are 100% safe, and they help.
Neti pot is a nasal rinse...and there are many other brands of nasal rinses you could try on him.
You could post this in the Alternative Therapies forum for more home remedy ideas.
I find one of the best ways is to rub Vick's (or another medicated rub/ointment made for congestion) on the bottom of the feet at bedtime and cover with a pair of socks. He should wake up feeling much better.
