Red dots on tounge?

I've noticed red dots on my tip of tounge This past Thursday and don't know how long they've been there.. I don't want to go to doctor for something simple so what could it be??

Yeah maybe I'm just overthinking this.. I have been under a lot of stress and anxiety these past 6 months.. Was just worried because read online somewhere that having red dots on tounnge tip is a sign of cancer HIV or std..

You may have bitten your tongue or drawn it across your teeth and didn't realize it.

You may have eaten something that didn't agree with you.
And of course, it's always possible that you are coming down with something.

However, red dots on tongue can be quite normal.

If you get red spots on the rest of your body, or develop any other odd symptoms such as the chills, a fever, sore throat, etc then you should see a doctor.
