Although I am not a doctor, thyroid tests are important and dopamine which a neurotransmitter which has been linked in studies by the university of michigan to be linked to sleep apnea.

A doctor can test your thyroid - and if you are low normal - you may want to discuss your options.  Naturopaths can apparently often balance neurotransmitter levels - however, it is not the most pleasant experience.

All the best,

There is no real operation that cures sleep apnea, I've already asked several professionals.  You need to get tested in a sleep clinic and use a C-PAP if diagnosed with sleep apnea.  It is not just the throat that collapses during sleep, it is also the nose. Weight lose can help reduce the apnea and weight gain makes it worse.  Take this problem very seriously, please. If they don't find any sleep apnea then your best bet is to see an ear nose & throat specialist for the snoring.  Good Luck
