Should I bother getting tested for strep if I'm feeling better? (Uninsured)

So I had a scratchy throat for a few days and last Thursday evening that finally developed into a fever topping out at 101. By Saturday I was fever free and have been ever since. My throat finally started feeling better just this morning. I've read that strep should *typically* be treated with antibiotics to prevent complications but since I'm feeling better now (other than some minor throat discomfort), should I bother getting tested?

Not worth it now.  If it self-resolved, it was likely viral rather than bacterial, and there's not much apart from pain relief that can be done about a sore throat of viral origin.
