Sudden-onset rapid build-up of ear wax

Has anyone had any experience of the sudden-onset rapid build-up of ear wax? I’ve had to have micro-suction twice and syringing once (this morning) in the last 6 weeks. My GP and a senior nurse practitioner are satisfied there is no infection, either bacterial or fungal.

The latest medical advice I was given was to have it syringed as often as needed. That’s not a route I’m happy to go down at this stage, but he did agree to an ENT consultant referral if it happened again soon.
