Throat

I have been experiencing the following symptoms and am in the process of eliminating causes with my doctor, but wonder if this sounds familiar or coincidental to anyone.

~I have a 'lump in my throat (internal) sensation around the area behind my adam's apple...I can feel it when I swallow and sometimes is agrivated by larger or rougher bites of food (this has been off and on for about 6-8 months)
~I have a swollen area/lump the size of a dime on the left side of my neck along my sternocleidomastoideus
~The glands under my chin have (off and on) become swollen
~In the past couple months I have contracted what seems to be some form of Bronchitis or Cold/Flu symptoms multiple times
~Experiencing some weight loss
~Experiencing consistent fatigue, but still able to function...I am very active (exercise 3-4x per week)
~Currently I've developed a soreness in my throat, my nose, and in my ears (just started within 24 hrs)
~Have stingy feeling in my eyes feeling for the past two days
~Have bouts of chills with no fever and am consistently cold or chilly (off and on for months)
~Had the onset of Acne in the past month (never had in my life)

The most recent major changes in my life have been a recent move (8 months ago) into a new place.

I am currently on the following medication:

~Mirena (been on since 6/2011 - before that was on Yaz in 2008 for 6 months)
~Vitamin A (been taking every morning for a year)
~Have been dosing with a form of Dayquil/Nyquil off and on when I feel I have the symptoms of a cold or flu

I recently was tested for my thyroid and white blood cell count via bloodwork as well as had an ultrasound on my thyroid...all of which came back clear.

Thoughts?

Sounds like you have mold somewhere in the place you moved into.  Starts out w the symptoms you mentioned but can get much much worse and can cause severe neurological, endocrine and other symptoms after long term exposure.  Even can cause cancer.  Move out if you've continued to have symptoms.  Its not worth your health.  Btw, people with mold toxicity usually have all standard bloodwork like CBCs come back negative.  See Dr Shoemakers protocol to guide your doctor in what tests to run on you.  More info can be found on a website called Surviving Mold.  Good luck to you.

Consider Epstein-Barr...you should ask to be tested.  It's a pretty nasty bug that can recurr and definitely can cause "some" of the symptoms that you describe.

You have a thyroid problem which will be detected in the blood test in the future. For now follow this - thyroid point pressing, ujjayi pranayam - 21 times daily, kapalbhati pranayam 20 minutes, twice a day. This works gradually, so allow weeks, but you will notice something in days. Let me know your progress, when you feel some benefit.I have described the methods for you.
Thyroid point – press the fleshy bit on palm between  the base of thumb and wrist on both hands. If you feel sharp pain when you press, then you have thyroid problem.Press this point 50 times everyday.

Ujjayi pranayam
Procedure: While breathing in, tighten throat(contract glotis) and there will be sound from back of throat, then drop chin(rest chin on chest), hold breath as long as possible. Then  chin up, close right nostril and slowly breath out through left nostril.
Duration: 5 – 21 times

How to do Ujjayi
When you clear your throat, you tighten your throat and breath out, twice, with a pause in between. . Now if you reverse this, that is, tighten the throat and breath in continuously for abour 8 to 12 seconds, then hold your breath for 4 seconds with the chin down, then  chin up, close right nostril and slowly breath out through left nostril, you have just done Ujjayi pranayam. You will feel like coughing initially.

Kapalbhati pranayam -(Do it before eating)
Build up your timing gradually. If you feel tired or dizzy, stop and resume after one minute.
Push air forcefully out through the nose about once per second. Stomach will itself go in(contract in). The breathing in(through the nose) will happen automatically. Establish a rhythm and do for 20 to 30 minutes twice a day. Children under 15 years – do 5 to 10 minutes twice a day.
Not for pregnant women. Seriously ill people do it gently.
