bump on tongue GRRRR!!!!!!

the bump on my tongue is white and painful.  its on the tip, and i also have one on the side of my tongue.  it started out as a bump and now is a very small circle.  its so effing irritating.  its like those bumps you get from eating candy, but i havent been eating any sweets.  What the hell is it?

my dentist called it "geographic tongue". It's kind of a mystery to them but they told me note what foods trigger it and avoid them. I get them when I drink too much wine (either at one time or over a period of days) - bummer because I love wine. Oh well. They aren't any sign of anything bad, just irritating. Mine last about 3 days too.

its weird, it went away in like 3 days.  they are frustrating

I get those too. I get them from acidy foods like tomatoes and from walnuts and other things like that. They are a drag.
