excessive blood during oral sex

I was performing oral sex on my boyfriend last night and when I looked down, I saw an EXCESSIVE amount of blood.  We initially thought he had a serious cut, but it turns out the blood was coming from my throat.  There was a pretty copious amount of blood and my saliva was literally all blood and bright red.  Could it just be a popped blood vessel?  I am a relatively heavy smoker and drink occasionally, but I am concerned because I am only 21 years old.  Despite drinking and smoking, I am in good health and didn't feel any pain when I was bleeding.  I'm quite worried.  Thanks so much.

If you are in relatively good health now and "just smoking & drinking" you won't be for very long.  STOP bad ill-behavior now before it's too late!
