difficulty swallowing

I have been having difficulty swallowing for the past 6 months.  I have had several test done and nothing has been found.  I had barium swallow, modified barium swallow, endoscopy and the ENT scoped me.  My symptoms are as follows:sore throat, hoarseness at times, fatigue, mulpitle mouth ulcers over the last 6 months, difficulty swallowing, white tongue and metallic taste in my mouth sometimes.  I know this is not in my head.  Has anyone else had anything like this?  Please let me know.

I've had difficulty swallowing for 2 years now.
It started after i was told i had a throat infection and was put on two courses of two different antibiotics
My problem gradually got worse and now i'm living off of a nutritional supplement drink.
Like you, i have seen many doctors and have had many tests but hardly anything has come from it all.
I know something is truly wrong but doctors have stopped listening/trying to help.
I don't know what to do anymore but i can't give up. I want my life back.

The ENT saw white patches in my throat the 3rd time he scoped me! Took awhile. It can be diagnosed with a simple culture taken of your saliva. I am eating now! Once they quite the Nasonex and I just took Nystatin I got better. Nasonex (steriod) makes fungal infections worse so it was bad news. But ya just with Nystatin I am back to normal almost 100%, I am almost done me treatment. Your symptoms fit so well. Like im not a doctor but just read this...

It's not in your head, if your like me which it sounds like you may be. My ENT found that I have esphageal thrush. And the symptoms fit pretty well. I am being treated with Nystatin along with Nasonex. My symptoms have somewhat improved. I believe though I will require a higher dose of fungicide to finish this though. My tongue has improved but not my swallowing completely. I was lucky to have them catch it fungal infections are very hard to diagnose as they are accompanied usually with no fever what so ever. Hope this helps. I am getting a CT done soon as well and following up on all this.

Ya, I definetly know what your talking about. I Feel the same way. Do you have mucus that is clear? The ENT's find nothing for me as well. I get all your symptoms. They wrongfully diagnosed Epiglottitis and treated me with antibiotics and it hasn't helped. Then they suggested allergies and gave me Nasonex which isn't really helping. Let me know more about your condition.
