inner ear pain lasting two months

i've been suffering w/inner ear pain for 2 months now-first treated w/amox tr k cl 875 mg for 10 days which i finished, the we tried Astepro .15% 2x a day. Now we're trying neo/poly/hc 1% otic. i started this 8/10. the pain never really cleared up and the day before i went back to the dr and got script for ear drops it was qute severe. she said she saw fluid in both ears but not enough to warrant the pain i felt and if the drops don't correct i may have to see an ent specialist and may require tubes. what is this procedure? I'm 46 and have never had a problem w/my ears before! i have no fluid coming out of them, have some slight dizziness. this am woke w/pain @ occipital bone and tempormandibular jt area and can't chew food so haven't been able to eat anything but jello. it's sunday so can't return to dr today. please help!!!

I definitely think you should see an ENT.  An ENT would be able to rule out any sort of obstructions.

Over night I would recommend soem tylenol or ibuprofen, whichever you prefer.  You can also rotate them. Say take ibuprofen and then 4 hours later take tylenol, and then four more hours later take ibuprofen again and repeat.

I feel for you and hope you find some relief and answers soon.
