thanks for your advice, sorry to say i had the tooth removed yesterday (which was a completely healthy tooth) so im really low at the minute as the pain is still there, still a sore eye and a sharp pain in the top of my head, also bruised type pain in my neck on the same side, i really cannot ever see me getting better at the moment.
Just to add..the sphenoids will more than likely give you ear problems to...fluid filled, popping ect, eye pain, headaches included..they are deep in the skull, hard to treat i read (i,m on 5th lot of Antibiotics) but got ENT app next week
The nasal sprays made my symptoms worse to..had to stop doing it.Nasal rinses are pretty ok though..maybe try that. Its just salt water. You can buy a kit from Walmart etc...feels wierd the first time but it really helps and you get used to it.I really think you need to see a different Doc though..It may be just a case of getting on some Antibiotics.
You really need a CT scan. I had one and it showed Sphenoid sinus disease in both. I,m no Dcotor, i would think it would show on an MRI to but maybe not..so to me it sounds like yoo have a sinus infection. On the CT scan it shows as grey instead of black when an infection is present. The Doctor i had was lovely.Really nice guy who seemed to really care.He went over he CT scan with me and told me everything it contained. There are 4 sets of sinus, Maxillary, Ethmoid, Sphenoid and cant think of the last one sorry...but its easy to google and each one presents with different types of symptoms i believe.
hi there, thats really helpful, im seriously thinking of getting the tooth taken out, if that doesnt do it i will ask for the sinus flush.
thanks for answering,
debbie
Oh, i forgot to mention, it could also, possibly (small chance) be an infected tooth problem.
I would go to an ENT for a second opinion. If you get no satisfaction from doctors, try a sinus flush. What you can sometimes get is a fungal or other infection that doesn't show up on a scan. Many doctors will say that's poppycock, but the sinuses are still a medical frontier, as you already know.

Did you get an MRI under the care of an ENT, regular doctor, or dentist?
