Does deviated nasal septum affects your face?

I was diagnosed with DNS. Due to this DNS, the mucus in my sinuses are clogged and cannot be drained. Also, i might have nose inflammation due to allergic. My question is :

1. Is irritation when breathing cold air via the nasal normal?
2. Does DNS and congested sinus affects your face, i.e make it looks bloated or nose looks puffy?

Thank you.

It is hard to quantify the level of he DNS. Are you a candidate for surgery?

Btw, i had these conditions for as long as i can remember. Never had the chance to breathe properly.

Of course, i am getting septoplasty soon. Do i expect changes in overall appearance in my face after recovering from surgery? I had my tonsils removed when i was little. I had been a mouth breather for a long time, causing dry lips and ultimately, my lips darkened.

Do i expect overall appearance change after my surgery? Thanks in advanve.
