serious post nasal drip

Hi, I've been suffering with allergies and sinus problems for awhile now. Basically my main problem is post nasal drip. I constantly have this feeling in the back of my throat like something is there, and I constantly and sucking out/coughing out and spitting out mucus (white and clear). However, at random times during the day I have these short periods (last about 5 minutes or so) where I feel like I can't breathe. It's a very strange feeling....like my throat feels heavy and I can't take deep breaths because my throat is being blocked and then I get this hot feeling that comes over me, I mean technically I can still breathe but it makes me really nervous. I really dont think its an anxiety attack or anything because my heart doesn't race and I'm not nervous/anxious prior to that....its just a really odd/scary feeling and it makes me feel like I cant breathe. Does anyone know of anything it could be or anyone that can relate??

I suggest you research Vocal Cord Dysfunction.  It is a condition where the vocal cords spasm on inhalation making it difficult to really breathe in.  This has many triggers, and PND is one of them.

Good luck.  Praying you find answers.
