I went thru an eating disorder and didnt eat straight for two months . So after I came back to reality and started eating again I went to a gastro doc. And he said I have gasteritis. So now every day I wake up with excessive mucus tht I have panic attacks about because it feels like it slows down the food.when it goes down. Its miserable. I buy mucinex every week it helps for ****.... So after I eat the food comes up so thick with mucus that im choking . I try to drink a full glass of water to push the mucus down it works for like two min then it comes right back up. The food that comes up the most is soda in thick globs ice cream. Sugary drinks. So im just going crazy feeling like im gonna choke on this gluey back up of foodixed with mucus. Ugggggghhhhhhh somebody help with info.

I agree with Dr. Anita..... The anithistamine i refer is phenylephrine or any of its commercial combinations for 7 days(0-0-1) and use a saline nasal drop or otrivin.....!!!! for 5 days(3 drops-3 drops-3 drops) and if its still like that then visit the nearest ENT for examination.

Hello and hope you are doing well.

Your symptoms could be due to a post nasal drip, which can cause a chronic irritation in the throat. This could be due to a sinus infection, a cold or a chronic allergy. It could be sinusitis, if it is accompanied by nasal stuffiness and facial pain or pressure. Post nasal drip could also be due to allergens. You will need to consult your primary care physician for proper clinical assessment. In the meantime for relief from your symptoms you could do warm salt gargles and take OTC antihistamines.

Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
