what can it be

For some time now I have had the following symptoms:  Dry, congested nasal passages, feeling of pressure in right side of face, along jaw, under eye, and around to back of head, also feeling of like a "lump" in the very back of my throat, like really thick drainage that comes and goes.  What could this be?

Thanks.  Actually I saw and ENT on Tues.  I have been on various antibiotics off and on for about 35 days now.  On Mon. they are doing a CT scan of my sinuses.  I'm just really nervous and anxious about this.  I have had an MRI done, but the docs aren't giving me any real answers.  They are confused as to what was scanned on the MRI.  Seems like they did my brain, but they were supposed to do sinuses.  They said it was normal except for some thickening of the membranes.  I assume they meant the sinus membranes. I am waiting a call back from the ENT to confirm that. This whole thing has been so nerve racking for me.  I just don't feel like myself and I'm sure some of it is anxiety realated.  As to your questions, the answer is yes to both of them.  But it comes and goes.  Some days is worse than others. This morning the feeling of pressure actually woke me.

Sounds like a sinus infection to me.  Does the pressure increase when you bend over? Or how about when you chomp down do you feel it in the upper jaw cheek bones etc?

But regardless of what I have to say, you need to see a physician.
