Tremors

I have suffered from Bulimia for ten years, and for the past year have become an alcoholic. I have finally entered an outpatient treatment that starts tomorrow and have been going to 12-step programs. I just started on celexa  3 days ago. The 2nd day I did not take the dose, and yesterday I made a bad choice and drank some at lunch. When I got home that night I decided to stop the drinking and take the celexa seriously, so I took my dose. At bedtime I started having mild but uncontrollable tremors that would not let me go to sleep. I still have these tremors today. I did take my dose of celexa, and I am not going to drink anymore. I don't know if they actually are tremors, but that's all I can think to call them. My muscles all over get tense and uncontrollably vibrate/tremor. Should I stop the medication and call the doctor, and why could this be happening?

Thank you for your comments. I have stopped the drinking. The comment from "DR Torres" doesn't need to be removed. I don't think it is humorous, but I do understand the anger that comes from people who cannot stand people with addictions. I hated myself for a very long time, and I constantly told myself that I suck. Comments like that kept me from getting better. They kept me in a dangerous pattern of self-abuse and depression. Now I am very happy that I have taken these steps, though very difficult, to get myself healthy again. I am very grateful for any comments even if they are reflective of the own self-hate of forum members.

I don't know your dose of celexa, but certainly drinking and taking this medication is not the right thing to do.  The "tremors" may have several causes, but its unlikely the celexa unless you are very sensitive...yes, you should discuss this with your doctor.
