Only thing they currently have is an experimental drug that has worked.

Those nurses were from Texas? Not Ohio. One traveled to Ohio where she was quarantined and moved to Emory hospital when symptoms started.

What needs to happen for people to take this serious dead bodies in the middle of the street like In  west Africa come on now. At least just be careful and keep hands clean as much as possible in public.

The guy in Ohio is in a hospital that has a level 4 bio-containment facility (which is why he was put there) I don't know if you've ever seen one of those facilities, but they take things VERY seriously. They are specially trained to handle diseases such as Ebola, Anthrax, Smallpox, etc. Their maim purpose is containing and treating pathogens that could potentially be/ have been used as biological weapons.

People who don't have it in there state shouldn't worry but personally I live In  Ohio where it may be I'm almost 38 weeks and I'm taking serious precautions because we don't know who's been In contact with anyone who contracted it and ones who isn't taking it serious should because it's deadly and you won't be saying that if u contract and you don't survive take it serious.

BSny20 while it is contracted through droplets. Coughing and sneezing aren't symptoms of Ebola, so yes anyone can sneeze, but it's not likely that you'll see someone out who just thinks that they have a cold and it's actually Ebola.

It's scary but I honestly think they're blowing it out of proportion. I mean I have my reasons and it's too much to go into but I just think there's more we need to worry about than that.

You can get it easier than people realize. "The only way to get it is to basically play in an infected person's bodily fluids". False. You can get it as easily as someone who is infected sneezes on their hand and then a few minutes later shakes yours, from them coughing on you, from them coughing in their hand and then touching a railing then you eat something by hand. To get technical it is airborne by droplets from a sneeze or cough. Etc. It's especially scary for is pregnant women since our immune system is down. So wash, wash, wash those hands and always have hand sanitizer.

I live in tx so I kinda get worried, but I live in the country around no one so it's not to bad. I only worry when I travel to Houston, cypress or the cities it was reported in. I heard they have a cure for it anyways & people have recovered. So I'm not to concerned.

The swine flu actually isn't history now. Many people still contract it each year, it's just not made into a big deal. As far as Ebola is concerned I do think people are freaking out way too much. Everyone seems to be forgetting that Duncan (the man who died here) had contact with about 20 people While he was considered contagious, before being admitted to the hospital, and none of them are ill. The only people who have contracted it are people who were directly involved in his care while he was acutely ill. As a nurse myself I can tell you I've seen some questionable things happen at hospitals. Nurses make mistakes, we are human, and especially when you are dealing with such a high acuity patient, anxiety can get the best of you and make mistakes more likely.

I won't be worried until it mysteriously spreads to someone half way across the country, who works in an airport. Lol

In my opinion ebola is a poliical scam . Everyone that "contract ebola" is because of the new shot thats given in west africa , nw in other countries too. Why do you ladies think that the west africans are kicking the red cross out.

Its a joke. I can understand you ladies being worried, because its in your area/town/state... But everyone else who's freaking about it.... *shakes head*...
Be careful, I guess. Cover your mouth/nose.. Stay healthy... Be cautious.....

I wasn't worried at first until those two nurses in Texas became infected. They aren't even sure how one of them contracted it! I guess it's a little more scary since I live in Texas. They thought someone from the Coast guard had it and they took him to a hospital here in my city. Someone could easily sneeze in your direction and infect you.

I personally dont see it as a very big deal. The only known way to catch Ebola is by literally playing with the infected person body fluids. Other than that its not contagious so I aint worried bout it.
